Engineer for CAD construction of plastic parts

In this position, you will actively and open minded engage and integrate yourself into the four-person development team. For customer and application-specific solutions, you will independently design plastic parts, assemblies and systems with NX CAD, as well as set up the necessary calculations and FEM & Moldflow simulations. You will take advantage of existing team spirit to develop ideas and concepts, and in return assist your colleagues with valuable input. Your hands-on mentality will be helpful in prototyping and testing. You will ensure respectful, goal-oriented cooperation in direct customer contact, as well as in cross-departmental and cross-location exchanges with your professional colleagues.

Your tasks

• Development of components and medical devices
• NX CAD design, FEM simulation, Moldflow and Moldex3D analysis
• Design suitable for ABS/PP/PC and other plastics
• Perform calculations, testing, validation and develop prototypes
• Issue specifications and patent & FTO researches
• Documentation in English

Your profile

• Sound fundamental education with professional experience in CAD design
• Engineering degree with focus on plastics technology 
• Familiar with ISO 13485 and medical devices
• Analytical and conceptual skills; spatial imagination
• Business-fluent in English, good German skills
